Build your own gallery
Art is in your hands at the Stanley & Audrey Burton Gallery on Saturday 10 September, 1-4pm, in a workshop led by Louise Atkinson.
What would your ideal gallery look like‘ Do you want to hang Leonardo next to Polynesian folk art and Hirst? Do you want a doughnut shop and a slide in the middle? Do you have the vision? Do you have a message’
Inspired by Sir Michael Sadler's visionary collection donated to the University in 1923 and on display in the ' Sadler Gift ' exhibition, visual artist and curator Louise Atkinson invites everyone to ponder, create, invent, build and curate their own miniature gallery!
Bring your digital camera and we'll upload your gallery shots to the Gallery blog and Second Life for everyone to see. Art materials will be provided but feel free to bring your artwork or materials.
The workshop is free, but places are limited so please book your place in advance by e-mailing Zsuzsa , telephoning 0113 343 2777, or online.
