Medieval and Early Modern Research Group: Autumn 2011 meetings

The School of English Medieval and Early-Modern research group holds seminars which bring together staff and postgraduates who are interested in the medieval and early-modern periods...

The programme for this term is as follows:

Tuesday 11 October at 5.15 in the Douglas Jefferson Room 'Books of the Year': an informal opening session in which staff talk about a recent book which has particularly impressed them. This is an opportunity to meet new members of the seminar, and to hear about important new work in our area.

Tuesday 15 November at 5.15 in Seminar Room 5 Chris Stone: ''Empirical observation vs. Blind faith in "Paradise Lost"'.

Tuesday 6 December at 5.15 in Seminar Room 5 Postgraduate double bill: Paul Faber on 'Bartholomew Fair' and Richard Stacey on authorial prefaces to plays.

All staff, PhD, and MA students are warmly welcome at these seminars, and offers of papers for next term are also welcome.
