Open your mind to the study options on offer with Plymouth University
4 November 2011 - PLYMOUTH
Plymouth University is set to showcase its array of study opportunities when it hosts its winter Postgraduate and Professional Open Evening.
Aimed at new and continuing students, the event will provide helpful advice and guidance on study options from postgraduate certificates through to research degrees, as well as application and financial advice.
New courses on offer include the Masters in Business Administration and two new routes into construction offered by the Faculty of Arts.
Former Plymouth Sutton MP, Linda Gilroy, started a Masters in September, having attended a previous open day. She said: “I came to the open day in March where I was able to meet the leader for the Creative Writing course which I am now studying. This was very reassuring as it’s been several decades since I pursued a formal course of study. So far the course is meeting my expectations and offering a supportive (and at times inspiring) environment in which to study and write.”
The event is being held at Plymouth University in the Roland Levinsky Building from 3.30pm until 6.30pm on Tuesday 15 November 2011 and includes campus tours, subject specific talks and first-hand advice from academic staff and current students.
Postgraduate Marketing Manager Susan Lynch said: “Due to the changing nature of education, this is the ideal opportunity to find out more about future study options, and for those returning to education it will offer the chance to get a feel for the current learning environment.”
